Novels
I have published one novel – The Three Bears, and have several others on the go. Problem is, I can’t decide which one to focus on.
The Three Bears is (imho) a novel that smashes the form and reconstructs it in a way that will make you question your own existence. It’s hard to describe, so just go and have a look at it here.

From the Backfields
From the Backfields is a mystery set in the 60s and in the present. It follows the early and late life of Mick Matthews, initially a young teenage boy growing up on the Backfields housing estate.

Skin and Bones
Skin and Bones is the story of two brothers. Skin is a cab driver in the industrialised seaside town of Elchurch and Bones is his police detective brother. They don’t get on but they are forced to confront their issues when they both get caught up in the murder of a beautiful young woman.
The story is told alternately from the points of view of each brother.

One of Power
I guess this is science fiction since it’s set about 40 or 50 years in the future. Emyr is the ruler of the City, and he is a credit to his job, he looks after his constituency with dedication and professionalism. The city-dwellers are happy and contented with access to all the goodies from all the world.
Underneath the city it is a different story. Down there, in the labyrinth of tunnels live groups of rebels: misfits and outsiders who just don’t fit in to Emyr’s carefully controlled and well-oiled machine.
There’s a crisis below ground, numbers are dwindling due to Emyr’s mission to capture and rehabilitate the riff-raff. In the tunnels a leader emerges – Anwar, a brave and determined man who will be nobody’s drone.
Bums
Like Skin and Bones, Bums is set in the industrialised seaside town of Elchurch. Gino is the middle-aged son of an Italian immigrant and runs the cafe he inherited from his father. Business is bad, despite the gleaming espresso machines and his award-winning coffee. One day he loses the plot and trashes the cafe before disappearing onto the streets of the town where he has to interact with the very bums he despises.
Liars and Cheats
There is only about 1,000 words of this available but it should be enough to get a flavour of what it’s all about. It’s about a successful artist who is an arrogant old bastard to say the least.
Goldilocks
Goldilocks is a beautiful, clever woman who is trapped in a controlling relationship. She carefully plans and executes her escape hoping to make a fresh start in another city. After adopting a new identity she folds herself anonymously into the streets of Cardiff.
It isn’t long before she finds a new life, and gets involved with a myriad of new characters – perhaps she should have kept a low profile.
