I thought I might get rid of – by burning – a load of old paintings that were damaged or irredeemable in some way so I piled them up like a bonfire. I lit it. Then realised how stupid I was because a) It was just an idea, and b) the paint would burn and pollute – phew – I stamped the germ of the fire out and went back indoors for a cuppa before tackling the task of getting the paintings back in the shed.

Here’s the paintings piled up:

Ten minutes later I went back outside and this is what I saw:

I am now working on finishing the script. The first act is more or less complete and the second act is taking shape nicely. Marc is working hard on the music and has already been in the studio recording a guitar version of the first song – “A Beautiful Place”. I love what Marc has done with the song – it really is good. When we get the mix back we will post it somewhere on line as a taster.

We’ve got some fantastic performers and musicians involved already and there is still room for a couple more – so watch this (and other) space(s) for more info.

We’ve also set up a Facebook group for The Flight of the Wren and for Y Cardiff who are producing the opera.

The Warehouse is an amazing space, it was previously occupied by the New Earth Warehouse who built yurts there, in fact, there is a large yurt still occupying some of the floor space.

More details will follow when I get round to writing them up, in the meantime click on the pic below for a sneak preview (the very large painting in the middle is not mine it’s by Martin Jones and very nice it is too :) . The rest of the paintings are mine)
