Morning

Just found this in an old word doc from February 2000

Morning

- Morning.

- Morning.

- Coffee?

- Please.

- Milk?

- Black.

- Sugar?

- No.

- Here.

- Thanks.

- Tired?

- Yeah.

- Late night?

- Sort of.

- It’s come.

- The cheque?

- That’s right.

- How much?

- The lot.

- Happy days.

- And me?

- Friday morning.

- Why then?

- Takes time.

- To clear you mean?

- To get the cash.

- A cheque will do.

- Left the chequebook behind.

- Don’t forget tomorrow then.

- Sorry, I didn’t mean.

- Forget it, it’s fine.

- Did any other mail come?

- Telephone bill, rent demand . . .

- Don’t want to know.

- You must face it.

- I know, not now.

- It’s inevitable, it will happen sooner or later.

- Look, I just can’t handle it right now.

- You’ve been saying that for over three months.

- It’s just a little dip, a seasonal fluctuation.

- You know it’s more than that; it’s serious.

- You are not my wife, stop nagging me.

- Somebody has to; you’ve just let yourself go.

- I can’t help it. My life is ruined.

- Look, she’s gone, pull yourself together man.

- I’m sorry; I think we’ll have to finish.

- You can’t do that, after all these years.

- I can do what I like. It’s my business.

- What about me? What will I do now?

- You can’t depend on me forever you know. You should get a life of your own.

- Me? Depend on you? That’s a laugh. Without my efforts, you wouldn’t have a business.

- Well, if you’re so bloody good, why don’t you start a business of your own then?

- I like working here. I like working for you. Can’t you see that? Are you blind?

- Look, it’s too late. It’s all over. I wish you didn’t depend on me so much.
